Daylight Books to publish this work in the fall of 2014. Art Desks will be distributed by D.A.P. Distributed Art Publishers with text by Andy Grundberg. The book will feature 57 photographs of art desks throughout the East Coast. Thank you for your support! 
 
About The Book
Art Desks by E. Brady Robinson features photographs of the desks and working spaces of artists, curators, art dealers and critics throughout the East Coast. This project explores the idea of desk as portrait combined with the social experiment of navigating the art world.
Daylight Books to publish Art Desks in the fall of 2014 with text by Andy Grundberg. The 8-inch-by-10-inch hardbound book will feature 96 photographs of art desks from New York to Miami and will be distributed by D.A.P.
Subjects include: Cricket Taplin, art collector from the Cricket Taplin Collection at the Sagamore Hotel, Mera Rubell, art collector from the Rubell Family Art Collection, Diane W. Camber, Director Emerita of the Bass Museum, C. Isaac Camber, Art Collector in Miami, David Ward, Senior Historian from the National Portrait Gallery, Anna Walker-Skillman, Owner for Jackson Fine Art, artist William Christenberry and Larissa Leclair from the Indie Photobook Library among others.
Addison/Ripley Fine Art in Washington, DC will feature a solo exhibition of Art Desks by E. Brady Robinson during in November 2014 during FotoWeekDC. Book signing events to take place during FotoWeekDC 2014 at Addison/Ripley in Washington, DC and SNAP! Photography Festival in Florida.
About The Photographer
E. Brady Robinson received her BFA in photography from The Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland and her MFA in photography from Cranbrook Art Academy in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Her photographs have been exhibited nationally at the FotoWeekDC, Atlanta Celebrates Photography and Addison/Ripley Fine Art. Select collections include: Corcoran Gallery of Art, Orlando Museum of Art and Spanish Cultural Center in Santo Domingo, DR. Currently, she is Associate Professor in the School of Visual Arts and Design at The University of Central Florida.
Awards and Media Features
Grand Prize Winner in American Life in 2011 Lishui Photography Festival, China
Since starting this project, Art Desks has received the Grand Prize Award and Cash Prize of $10,000 RMB in the American Life exhibition in the 2011 Lishui Photography Festival, China. Select work from the DC series was selected by independent curator Larissa Leclair from the Indie Photobook Library. The 2011 Lishui Photography Festival is the largest International Photography Festival in China. American Life was produced by Yan Li, Director of High Noon Culture & Art Corp in Beijing, China and featured 20 American photographers selected by 10 American Curators. The exhibition continued after the festival for a one-year tour in major galleries and museums throughout China including ShiJiaZhuang Art Museum China (2012) and 2013 Dali Photo Festival in China.
Most recently, select work from this series was on exhibit at Addison/Ripley Fine Art in Washington, DC during FotoWeekDC 2013. Limited edition prints from this series are available at Addison/Ripley Fine Art.
